The Parker 75 is one of the most successful fountain pen lines among modern pens. The 75 was manufactured for 30 years, beginning in 1964. The pen celebrated the 75th anniversary of the Parker Pen Company, and so was named the '75'. During the three decades of production in the US and France, the 75 was manufactured in a wide variety of finishes. The 75 also underwent several design modifications. The 75 Custom was produced for only two years (1991-92) and had a gold-plated cap and lacquer-over-metal barrel. The pen was available with a barrel in green, blue, burgundy or black lacquer. This pen has a barrel with a deep, rich black lacquer. The cap has a pattern of vertical lines and has a green cabochon mounted in the cap tassie.

The section of the 75 Custom is rounded, but has three gripping areas -- a feature for which 75s are well-known. The feed on the 75 was re-designed in 1991 in order to improve ink flow, and this pen has the redesigned feed. The nib is incredibly smooth, and is made 18 K gold in size medium (M).

This pen is new old stock -- it is mint (never filled or dipped). The pen uses Parker cartridges or the included converter (to fill from bottled ink.) The pen comes in a generic box (not a Parker box) and does not come with papers.
